Eligibility
Open to performers of all nationalities over the age of 14.
Limited to 30 performers in the first round.
Four performers will be selected for the Final round
You
MUST BE ENROLLED as a participant in the
National
Guitar Workshop Classical Guitar Summit.
Prizes
First Prize: $4,000
Second Prize: $2,000
Third Prize: $1,000
Fourth Prize: $500
All finalists will also receive 50% off tuition at next year's
summit.
DEADLINE
TO ENROLL: June 1, 2006 . The competition is limited to 30 performers,
first-come, first-served. Enroll early to guarantee a spot in
the first round!
Repertoire
Round 1:
Any prelude from a cello or lute suite by J.S. Bach plus one
contrasting work
Total of 8 minutes (including Bach)
Round 2:
20 minutes, free choice.
