Shenandoah
Conservatory of Shenandoah University is now accepting applications
for the graduate assistantship in guitar for the 2002 - 2003 academic
year.
Duties will include assisting in the teaching of applied classical guitar
and guitar classes, as well as performing with and assisting in the
rehearsal of the Shenandoah Guitar Ensemble. The assistantship is renewable
for each year of full time study. Graduate assistants receive a full
tuition waiver and stipend, plus an additional privately funded grant
of $5000. The area offers many performance and teaching opportunities
for earning extra income.
Shenandoah Conservatory awards masters degrees in performance,
music education, conducting, and composition, and doctoral degrees in
performance and music education It is located in Winchester, VA, approximately
60 miles from Washington, D. C. in the scenic and historic Shenandoah
Valley.
