The Villa Chiara di Prumiano (Florence, Italy)

Group classes, and workshops for acoustic guitar styles including classical, world music brazilian, traditional Italian and fingerpicking styles.
Scheduled tours to Florence and Siena and also special classes on regional Italian cooking.
Led by John La Barbera, composer, guitarist and musical director of I Giullari di Piazza.

The workshop is open to students interested in advancing their knowledge in acoustic guitar styles including: finger style jazz and folk, Brazilian, classical, renaissance and medieval, and traditional Italian. Students can also participate in classes on regional Italian cooking taught by master chiefs from Italy. Evening musical performances and jam sessions will take place. Cultural trips to nearby Florence and Siena are included. The workshop will take place in a splendid medieval villa high in rural Tuscany with it's own hamlet and chapel, surrounded by 40 acres of Chianti Classico vineyards and silver olive groves. La Chiara is well known for the special regional cooking as well as their home grown specialties, and offers spacious rooms with wonderful views, swimming pool and horseback riding.
