Spanish Guitar Duo

The Seville Oranges

I started this duo with a very talented musican and good friend who I met while working with the Gipsy Kings on their West End show ‘Zorro The Musical’.

Whilst preparing for a performance we were asked by the promoters to quickly come up with a name for ourselves. We both studied flamenco guitar in Seville, Spain and had been reminiscing about our time there when the call came through and, with neither of us being blessed with a gift for PR or phonetics, we came up with ‘Seville Oranges’ on the spot, and then it stuck. Like marmalade. We have since played at many events all over Europe including the 2019 European Football Championships in Madrid.

As a duo and as solo Artists the Spanish Guitar Duo have performed with the following artists, shows and companies:
The Gipsy Kings, Plácido Domingo, Rafael Amargo, Carlos Acosta, The Royal Ballet, Russell Watson, Antonio Banderas, Welsh National Opera, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Juanito Makandé.
